In this assignment, you are the health information manager for XYZ Medical Center. You are tasked with solving interface issues that older adults experience when navigating the health systems. You will create a user interface proposal that focuses on older adults and interface challenges. You will select one user interface challenge that a facet of older adults may experience with using health systems. You will create a solution to this challenge via a storyboard. Your solution will be shared with members of your team.
Your proposal should include the following:
Provide a user analysis that focuses on the elderly population.
- Identify characteristics of the population.
- Discuss a challenging usage situation among the elderly population.
- Discuss the user’s motivation for using the interface.
- Discuss one challenge that you selected.
- Discuss the solution to the challenge.
- Based on the challenge selected, discuss any design changes should be considered.
Create a 5- to 8-panel storyboard that illustrates the issue and the solution. Your storyboard should include:
- Setting
- Sequence of events
- Solution: satisfaction of user
You can use a storyboard template of your choice, use Skitch software, or upload digital versions of your panels.
